Jordan Media Institute has announced its training program for the final quarter of this year. The program which begins at the end of August, includes nine workshops on broadcast and digital and new media.<br />

The sessions target journalists working in Jordan and the region, fresh graduates of journalism and media schools as well as individuals interested in entering the profession. Public relations and communication staff at public, private and civil society institutions can also benefit from the training.<br />
Three of the workshops will be held in cooperation with Al Jazeera Media Training and Development Center and will focus on television presentation, news production and television reporting. Other sessions include digital media applications, television news reporting, radio and television program production, short documentary film production as well as media communication skills for spokespersons. <br />

Dean Basim Tweissi said the institute constantly develops its training programs to respond to the needs of journalists and changes in the profession. The workshops, he added, are part of JMI objectives to assist journalists in developing their skills and ensuring the standards and ethics of the profession are respected.<br />
<br />
JMI is one of the largest media training facilities in the region. More than 670 people from Jordan and the region attended workshops last year that were held by a variety of local, Arab and international experts. <br />
