The Jordan media institute, JMI, concluded a training program which was organized for the official spokesperson of ministries and governmental institutions.
The training program which was held for four days included practical and theoretical sessions which shed the light on various issues and topics, some of which were evaluating press stories and enhancing them, writing a press articles in addition to media ethics. The participants also received training in the ethics of quoting and referencing.
Dr. Najah Al Abdullah Dean of the institute said; "The training comes as a part of our cooperation with the government, the institute heavily believes in the importance of the media speaker and his role in transferring right information, therefore we have held this training."
The training program aimed to help the media spokespeople to build a transparent relationship with the press, by knowing the role of the journalist in sharing the truth with the public, which reflects positively on both parties.
The lecturers in the program were, Journalist Jane Arraf and James Marton, Dr.Skher Khasawmeh, head of AFP in Jordan Mrs. Randa Habib , Alia Mola head of public relations at the Foreign Ministry and the Founding partner of Ammon News Agency Basel Al Akour.
